I am a Brazilian-Argentine artist currently living in Germany.
As a lawyer who didn't truly fit in my profession, I moved to Barcelona in 2015 and for many years ran a concept store that evoked an art gallery, where countless works of art were exhibited. This allowed me to meet many artists and immerse myself in this wonderful world.
Thanks to my daughter, a talented artist trained at the Llotja School of Fine Arts, I had the opportunity to learn many techniques, how to work with diverse materials, and combination of colors. It was after her painful passing that an overwhelming creative force was born within me, an almost vital need to give new meaning to her absence through painting. I found in art a way to remain connected in spirit to my beloved daughter, like a bridge that connects me to an invisible world.
My works are very intuitive, as if whispered in my ear.
The artworks elicit a safe, warm and comfortable place, almost childlike. A place where contemplation and serenity are the sensations that command my small orchestra of colors.
The caracters are shadows that have no personality; they just reflect the animus. They experience moments of lightness and let life flow. Everything is soft, unpretentious and honest. It invites a smile.
The technique I use mixes acrylic ink, plaster, and recycled paper in a collage style. The paintings have vibrant colors that contrast harmoniously, without losing the sense of tranquility that the artworks emanate. The landscapes are specific and the settings very evident, combining the innocence of Naïve art with the assertiveness of figurative art.
Artworks are created on a 84x60 cm hard board and feature different textures. All paintings come framed in handmade recycled wood, suggest the idea of looking through an old-fashioned farmhouse window.
